Happy almost Independence Day! What are you guys doing this weekend to celebrate? Anyone taking Monday off? It seems a little odd to go to work one day and have the next day off and then back to work for the rest of the week. I say Monday should be a holiday too! Who’s with me?? 🙂

While I had been a little MIA for the month of June (I’ll explain why in a later post), I did get a chance to create some awesome patriotic home decor for my post on Silhouette’s blog. I started with the paper method (because I just LOVE working with paper!) and pushed myself to try something new…I mean, that’s the whole point of this creative journey, right? For the first time, I used Silhouette’s Stencil Material to create the painted look and I absolutely LOVE the results! I can totally foresee more farmhouse-style signs in my craft queue this year!

If you want to learn how to make your own barn quilt blocks, check out my post on Silhouette’s blog. Have a safe and fun 4th of July friends!
